Ragnar Vaiknemets will start working as chairman of the board of AS Hoolekandeteenused in August. He previously served as deputy director general of the Health Board. Liina Lanno and Piret Lemsalu will also continue working on the board.
The contract of the current board chair Liina Lanno ends in the second half of August. Therefore, a public competition was announced to find a new board chair. The council decided to increase the size of the board to three members.
Council chair Kadi Lambot said that the number of services and places in Hoolekandeteenused is growing. They plan to build new homes and renovate old ones. They want to create a training center and improve work processes with the help of information technology. In addition, they aim to find new solutions to assist clients.
The council unanimously elected Ragnar Vaiknemets as a new board member. His authority as board chair will last for four years. Vaiknemets will assume office on August 23. During the coronavirus pandemic, he led the emergency staff of the Health Board.
AS Hoolekandeteenused is a state-owned company. It provides care services for adults with special mental needs.
