Janne Jõesaar-Ruusalu to become Estonian Ambassador to Finland

President Alar Karis nimetas Janne Jõesaar-Ruusalu uueks Eesti suursaadikuks Soomes. Sven Sakkov lõpetab suursaadiku töö.

President Alar Karis kutsus tagasi Eesti suursaadiku Soomes Sven Sakkovi. Uueks suursaadikuks sai Janne Jõesaar-Ruusalu.

. . Seejärel töötas ta Eesti peakonsulaadis Peterburis ja välisministeeriumi poliitikaosakonnas.
. Samuti oli ta Eesti suursaatkonna Helsingis esinduse asejuht.
2011. aastal sai ta välisministeeriumi Euroopa Liidu osakonna üldasjade büroo juhiks. 2012. aastal sai ta Euroopa ja Atlandi-ülese koostöö osakonna Põhja- ja Kesk-Euroopa ning regionaalse koostöö büroo juhiks.
. Aastatel 2020–2022 oli ta välisministeeriumi Kagu-Euroopa ja Euroopa Liidu üldasjade büroo direktor.
. Nüüd saab ta Eesti suursaadikuks Soomes.

Janne Jõesaar-Ruusalu was born in 1969 in Tallinn. She graduated from the University of Tartu in 1993 with a degree in mathematics.
In 1993, she started working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She worked in the consular office of the legal department. Later, she worked at the Estonian Consulate General in St. Petersburg and in the policy department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She has also served as the head of the training office of the personnel department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She was also the deputy head of the Estonian Embassy in Helsinki.
In 2011, she became the head of the general affairs office of the European Union department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2012, she became the head of the Northern and Central Europe and regional cooperation office of the European and Transatlantic Cooperation department.
From 2016 to 2020, she was the Estonian Ambassador to Norway and Iceland. From 2020 to 2022, she was the director of the Southeastern Europe and European Union general affairs office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Since 2022, she has been the Estonian Ambassador to Kosovo. Now she will become the Estonian Ambassador to Finland.
