This week's coalition discussions will end on Sunday with the defense topic
Uus Reformierakonna ja Eesti 200 valitsus asus tööle eelmisel nädalal, kuid koalitsiooni lisaläbirääkimised kestavad veel. Arutelude põhjal tehakse lõplik koalitsioonileping koos valitsuse kavaga.
The new government of the Reform Party and Eesti 200 started work last week, but additional coalition negotiations are still ongoing. Based on the discussions, a final coalition agreement will be made along with the government's plan.
Meetings on justice and digital topics will take place on Monday and Wednesday. They are led by the Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs, Liisa-Ly Pakosta, and Member of Parliament Madis Timpson. On Monday, finance was also discussed. The meeting was led by Finance Minister Jürgen Ligi and Member of Parliament Marek Reinaas. Education Minister Kristina Kallas also participated.
On Tuesday, infrastructure and climate will be discussed. The discussion is led by Infrastructure Minister Kuldar Leis and Member of Parliament Toomas Uibo. On Wednesday, energy and climate will be discussed. Energy and Environment Minister Andres Sutt and Member of Parliament Tarmo Tamm will lead it.
On the same day, education and science-themed meetings will take place in Tartu and Teams. They are led by Kristina Kallas and Member of Parliament Liina Kersna.
On Thursday, social and health topics will be discussed. The discussion is led by Social Minister Karmen Joller and Member of Parliament Diana Ingerainen. On the same day, culture and sports will also be discussed. Culture Minister Heidy Purga and Member of Parliament Tanel Tein will lead it.
On Sunday, defense will be discussed. Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur and Member of Parliament Kalev Stoicescu will lead the meeting.
The coalition parties promised to involve field experts in the discussions. On March 24, Prime Minister Kristen Michal and Education and Science Minister Kristina Kallas signed the government agreement.
The new ministers took the oath of office on March 25.
