The government decided to abolish 26 requirements and regulations. This will help make the business environment simpler. For example, it will no longer be necessary to check whether Elron trains have buckets and mops. It will also no longer be necessary to check whether the smoking room sign is the correct size.
The Ministry of Social Affairs is reducing health sector requirements. Currently, it is necessary to check whether the train has mops and buckets, but this requirement will be abolished. Accommodation service requirements will be simplified. For example, it will no longer be necessary to check the number of hand towels or the freshness of the air in accommodation establishments. The need to check the size of smoking room signs will also disappear.
The government also approved changes to the Consumer Protection Act. Starting next year, businesses will be able to stop issuing paper receipts and invoices. If the buyer wishes, they will still be given a receipt. The changes will also allow businesses to compost bio-waste themselves up to one ton per year.
For economic purposes, the Hunting Act will also be amended. Hunting licenses will become digital. Hunters will be able to see who has the right to hunt in the same area. The construction prohibition zone in coastal and floodplain areas will also be reduced. Local governments will be able to decide how far from the water body protection zone houses can be built.
The Water Act will be amended in four aspects. An environmental permit will no longer be required for deepening water bodies. Registration will suffice. For shellfish and seaweed farming at sea, if the production volume does not exceed one hundred tons, only registration is required. Farmers will have the right to store animal manure in piles immediately after submitting an e-notice.
