On Wednesday, the Father of the Year 2025 was announced at the Tallinn Town Hall. The Father of the Year is Kaupo Kutsar. He has nine children. He is the deputy mayor of Valga Municipality.
Kaupo said: "Growing up in our family means cooperation and joy. Nine children make life richer. The children have taught me to value people, not things. Family is the most important."
Kaupo added: "I am a farmer and an Estonian. This means I must take care of the land and raise children who know their roots. Our children have grown up in nature. They learn work and care."
Kaupo is an entrepreneur and leads several organizations. He is also the deputy mayor of Valga Municipality. He has been involved in local politics. He is a member of the Valga Municipal Council.
Kaupo is the father of nine children. His children are aged 3 to 27 years. Some of his children already have their own children.
18 fathers applied for the Father of the Year 2025 title. The title is awarded to a father who has at least four children. Starting from 2025, the Father of the Year will be selected nationwide. Several organizations are involved in this.
