Pärnus avati laupäeval uus sild. Seda oodati üle 30 aasta. Sild ühendab Rääma linnaosa kesklinnaga. Sild ja uued teed maksid ligi 40 miljonit eurot.

Pärnu linnapea Romek Krosenkranius oli väga rõõmus. Ta ütles, et sild on lõpuks valmis. Silla ehitamine oli raske, kuid nüüd on see valmis.

Silla ava on 140 meetrit pikk. Laupäeval võib silda ületada ainult jalgsi või jalgrattaga. Autod saavad silla peale pühapäevast.
Inimesed on silda kaua oodanud. Karin, kes elab Vana-Pärnus, ütles, et sild on tähtis. Annika ja Amanda, kes elavad Ülejõel, ütlesid, et nad on silda kaua oodanud.

A new bridge was opened in Pärnu on Saturday. It had been awaited for over 30 years. The bridge connects the Rääma district with the city center. The bridge and new roads cost nearly 40 million euros.

Pärnu Mayor Romek Krosenkranius was very happy. He said that the bridge is finally ready. The construction of the bridge was difficult, but now it is complete.
The new bridge is 263 meters long and 20 meters wide. The chief project manager of the bridge, Robert Sinikas, said that the construction of the bridge was very challenging. He said that such a bridge has never been built in Estonia before.
The bridge span is 140 meters long. On Saturday, the bridge could only be crossed on foot or by bicycle. Cars will be allowed on the bridge starting Sunday.
