The Prosecutor's Office has shown the materials collected in the criminal case of Tõnis Mölder to his defenders. Now they await the defenders' applications. Once these are resolved, they can take the next steps. It is currently difficult to say how long this process will take.
In recent days, it has been said that Tõnis Mölder may be a supporter of the new coalition of the Reform Party and Eesti 200. Mölder himself said that he has not been associated with any party for a year and votes independently.
Mölder emphasized that the coming years are very important for Estonia. He said he supports sensible proposals that will help the people of Estonia. He also said that if the coalition agreement suits him, he is ready to support it.
After the departure of the Social Democrats from the government, the coalition of the Reform Party and Eesti 200 has 52 members in the Riigikogu. Mölder's support could be very important for them.
In February 2024, Mölder was charged with intending to allocate funds to the Kõo Hunting Society. Mölder pleaded not guilty and vowed to defend his rights. He also left the Isamaa party.
