At the Munich Security Conference, Tsahkna said that Europe must strengthen its security. He also spoke about supporting Ukraine.
Tsahkna stated that Russia's peace plans do not work. Russia must be weak economically and militarily. According to Ukrainian President Zelensky, Putin has not changed his goals.
Tsahkna added that the USA and Europe must be strong allies. Europe must be decisive and act quickly.
The foreign ministers of the Nordic and Baltic countries met with the Ukrainian foreign minister. Tsahkna said that Estonia supports the peace plan.
Russia is an obstacle to peace. Support for Ukraine and pressure on Russia must continue. Europe has many options: sanctions, tariffs, EU enlargement.
Tsahkna participated in a discussion with Polish and Swedish ministers. He said that Russia's hybrid attacks are a threat worldwide. Countries must have good cooperation.
Tsahkna stated that EU sanctions are a good example against hybrid attacks. Supporting Ukraine and pressuring Russia help. Russian fighters must not be allowed into Europe.
Tsahkna signed a cooperation agreement with the Philippines. He also met with the foreign minister of Liechtenstein.
Tsahkna is participating in the Munich Security Conference from February 13–15. He met with the foreign ministers of the Nordic and Baltic countries.
