Karoli Hindriks and her company Jobbatical filed a lawsuit against Maria Karelli and All Media Estonia.
They wanted to prevent the broadcast of the interview on the "Laser" TV channel. The court decided that the show will remain on hold until autumn.
The preliminary hearing took place on Tuesday. The court listened to arguments from both sides. The next session is on September 22.
Maria Karelli's representative Ants Nõmper said that the court's decision is valid. The interview will not be shown before autumn.
Nõmper hopes that the court will make a final decision after the September 22 hearing.
Journalists usually do not agree on questions in advance. But that does not mean they should talk about only one topic.
Nõmper said that the interview only included business-related questions. The journalist chose them herself.
The press representative of Harju County Court, Viivika Siplane, said that the court usually does not ask for the opposing party's opinion.
Jobbatical is a company that helps people find jobs and move to other countries. In 2024, the company had a loss of 3.28 million euros.
At the beginning of 2024, Jobbatical employed 18 people.
