The Government Communication Office (VKB) will get a new head. Currently, Rasmus Ruuda works as the head of VKB and has decided to leave.
Jane-Liina Liiv, VKB communication advisor, said that an open competition to find a new head will be announced on November 3.
Rasmus Ruuda worked in the Government Office for nearly four years. He will continue working until a new head is found.
Liis Velsker, who is currently on parental leave, wants to return to work and serve as deputy head of VKB.
The Government Office's document registry has an order to create a new position for deputy director. Liis Velsker will work in this position.
Liis Velsker was the government communication director before her maternity leave. In recent years, Rasmus Ruuda has performed the duties of the director.
The reason why Rasmus Ruuda is leaving his job is unknown. ERR was unable to reach him for comment.
