The prosecutor's office filed charges against six individuals. They handled large quantities of narcotic substances. These substances are very potent and dangerous.
According to the charges, these individuals operated from October 2024 until August 2023. They handled synthetic opioids and alpha-PVP substances. Suleiman Dungurov organized the transportation of substances from Latvia to Estonia. He has previously been punished for similar acts.
Vladimir Goncharenko was Dungurov's partner. He concealed the substances and distributed them to clients. The other accused individuals handled substances obtained from Dungurov and Goncharenko.
The police found 209 grams of alpha-PVP powder in their possession. This powder was mixed with carfentanil. Additionally, a kilogram of nitazene and 1.8 kg of synthetic opioids were discovered.
Prosecutor Jakob Juksaar stated that the new synthetic opioids are much stronger than fentanyl. A small amount can be life-threatening. The confiscated substances could potentially create narcotic doses for eight million people.
Artur Kamnerov, head of the Northern Prefecture, said that the police closely monitor drug dealers. The new substances are increasingly potent, and small quantities can be very dangerous.
