Kaitseliit and Taavi Kotka started a drone course. Over a hundred people have completed the course in a month. A couple of thousand people are still waiting.
In October, Kaitseliit signed a cooperation agreement with Unicorn MTÜ. It teaches how to fly drones.
Young people enjoy flying drones. It's simple and interesting. Military use is not important to them. Klaus says: "I like drones. It's a great opportunity to learn more." He is also interested in photography with drones.
Many want to fly FPV drones. This requires a couple of years of practice. First, you need your own drone. Jens hopes to get a drone for Christmas. He doesn't have one yet.
In a month, the course has been completed by over 120 people. Nearly 3000 people are in line. Andres Lilleste, the instructor, says: "Flying a drone requires knowledge. Anyone can buy a drone, but can they fly it safely? Do they know the rules?"
After completing the basic course, one can learn tactical use of drones.
