There are many roadworks in Tallinn. They mainly take place in the city center and North Tallinn. In September and October, there may be many traffic jams.
The largest roadworks are in the Hippodrome area and on Peterburi tee. Near the Hippodrome, the road will be widened in August. The works will continue there for another year. Tallinn deputy mayor Joel Jesse says traffic jams will be heavy when school starts.
The first section of Peterburi tee will be completed in late November. The Pae intersection will open in late September. Works on Suur-Sõjamäe street will continue until 2028. Traffic is limited there.
In the city center, Raua street will open on September 1. Works on Kreutzwaldi street will continue until October 10. Liivalaia street will be completed in mid-October.
Lauteri street is now open. Buses are running there again. The Vambola-Lembitu intersection is also open. One lane is closed on Ahtri street.
Adamsoni street will be closed in late September or early October due to the construction of Westholm Gymnasium.
There are also many works in North Tallinn. Sõle street and Kolde puiestee are 80% complete. The turns on Kolde puiestee are open. Works will last until the end of November. Works on Volta street will continue until September 25. There is more traffic on Kungla street.
Asphalt works will be carried out on Paljassaare tee in September. Roadworks will begin in Mustamäe in the second half of September. They will last until next year. Heating pipes are being replaced on Sütiste tee. The works will end in late September.
