An international tender was held in February. Three companies submitted bids. Europark Estonia won. They asked for 5.89% of parking revenue plus VAT for the service. Currently, the fee is 16% without VAT.
It was chosen due to the lowest price. The new company must collect 25 million euros in four years. Mobile apps and SMS parking will continue. Parking machines will accept card payments.
The current service provider is AS Ühisteenused. Their contract ends at the end of August. A new contract with Europark will be made 14 days later if there are no disputes.
