The Prosecutor's Office wants to make a decision about Isamaa in summer. They don't want it to be too close to elections. "We want to make the decision in June or July," said chief prosecutor Taavi Pern.
Prosecutor's Office employee Helen Uldrich said that police sent documents about Isamaa to the prosecutor. Prosecutors still need to examine them. There is no decision yet.
The Prosecutor's Office said in November that Isamaa accepted prohibited donations. The total donations were about 330,000 euros. Isamaa took 110,000 euros from them.
According to suspicion, Isamaa may have received money outside its budget. MTÜ Isamaalised paid 110,000 euros to Isamaa. Isamaa members Tõnis Palts, Parvel Pruunsild and Mart Maastik became aware of this.
This happened in 2021 when Helir-Valdor Seeder and Lavly Perling were Isamaa leaders. Perling and her friends created the group Parempoolsed within Isamaa. Seeder's supporters were involved with MTÜ Isamaalised. Parvel Pruunsild supported this MTÜ. Tõnis Palts was the head of MTÜ Isamaalised.
Riigikogu elections are on March 7, 2027.
