EBS Announces Competition to Find a New Rector
Baltimaade vanim äriharidust pakkuv ülikool Estonian Business School (EBS) kuulutas esmaspäeval välja konkursi uue rektori leidmiseks.
The oldest business education university in the Baltics, Estonian Business School (EBS), announced a competition on Monday to find a new rector.
Meelis Kitsing has been the rector of EBS, founded in 1988, since 2020. He is also a professor of political economy.
The new rector should be an internationally recognized academic leader. They should have strong connections with the world's top universities and academic circles.
The rector is expected to actively contribute to the development of Estonia. They should collaborate with Estonian universities, scientific and government institutions.
The new rector will be selected by an electoral council. The electoral council is formed by the Estonian Business School's Board. The electoral council selects a candidate who will undergo a confidence vote in the Estonian Business School's senate. After this, the new rector will be confirmed in office.
The new rector's term will begin on September 1, 2025, and will last for five years.
EBS is located at Lauteri Street 3 in Tallinn. The EBS branch's study facilities are located at the Domus Gaudium campus in Helsinki.
