Interior Minister Igor Taro set the base salary of the Rescue Board's director general Margo Klaos at 8000 euros starting from May 1.
Previously, Klaos's salary was 6600 euros. Now it has increased by 1400 euros.
When Klaos became director general in April 2023, his salary was 6400 euros.
Over the last five years, the director general's salary has increased by 2500 euros. In 2021, the salary was 5500 euros.
The salaries of other officials also increased starting from May 1.
The new salary of the head of the Rescue Board's Southern Center, Tagne Tähe, is 5550 euros.
The new salaries of other officials are 4850 euros. These include Janek Mägi, Liisa Surva, Indrek Ling, Margit Ratnik, Tairi Pallas, and Enel Pungas.
Some other officials also received higher salaries.
