Property-related crimes accounted for over half of all crimes in 2024

Kelmused ja vargused olid 2023. aastal Eestis väga levinud. Inimestelt petsiti välja ligi 42 miljonit eurot.

Justiits- ja digiministeeriumi andmetel olid levinuimad vargused. Neid oli 10 049 juhtumit. Kelmusi oli 2203 juhtumit ja 1456 juhtumit. Enamik vargustest toimus kauplustest. Varastati alkoholi, toitu, elektroonikat ja raha. Tartumaal oli kõige rohkem vargusi.
