Transpordi Varahaldus' negotiations for the sale of the airplanes continue. The company is trying to achieve the best result. The sale is slightly postponed from the original plan, most likely to June.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Climate said that the sales contract will be signed in June. In April, a letter of intent was signed with the interested buyer. The negotiations for the sales contract are ongoing. The transaction was supposed to take place in May, but now it is postponed to June. The purchase price will not be disclosed before the completion of the transaction.
Transpordi Varahaldus owns seven Bombardier CRJ900NG airplanes. These are 88-seat passenger planes. Currently, there is great interest in buying airplanes worldwide. This is because their production cannot keep up with the demand.
In April, Sander Salmu said that several companies have offered to buy Transpordi Varahaldus' airplanes. He mentioned that the airplanes being sold by Estonia are suitable for certain services. They have a limited flight range and are not the most conventional type of airplane.
ERR has previously written that the best offer was made by an international company. This company operates in the aviation sector.
