Aleksei Yashin is the new mayoral candidate for the Eesti 200 party in Tallinn. He is currently a deputy mayor. Yashin wants Tallinn to be an honest and open city.
Yashin says that city management should be simpler and clearer. He wants fewer deputy mayors. Yashin wants district elders to become part of the city government.
Education is very important to Yashin. He wants all children to receive Estonian-language education. He allocates more funds to 4th and 5th grades. He supports schools with many minority children. He wants less work for teachers and higher salaries. He builds new schools in Kesklinna, Haabersti, Lasnamäe, and Pirita.
Yashin wants the city to support entrepreneurship. He wants transparent cooperation. He wants safe urban spaces. He says the city should be safe for everyone. He wants more rail transport in the directions of Kristiine, Põhja-Tallinn, and Lasnamäe-Maardu.
