Tallinn is renewing tram tracks near Tartu maantee. This is necessary for trams to operate safely. Work begins on March 7 and lasts until May 31.
Trams will not run near Lubja stop during this time. Passengers must use buses. Buses will operate on three weekends: March 7–8, April 18–19, and May 30–31.
Lubja stop will be completely closed. Passengers can use the nearest bus stop, which is 150 meters away. After the work, this stop will not reopen.
Traffic arrangements will change during the work. Cars cannot turn from Tartu maantee onto Lubja street. Traffic will be redirected along alternative routes.
During the work, 150 meters of tram tracks will be replaced. This will cost 504,000 euros. The work will be completed in June.
