Aprillist tuleb Ühendkuningriiki reisimiseks taotleda elektrooniline luba

Starting from April, an Electronic Travel Authorisation is Required to Travel to the United Kingdom

Alates 2. aprillist nõuab Ühendkuningriik riiki sisenemiseks elektroonilist reisiluba (Electronic Travel Authorisation ehk ETA). Eesti kodanikud saavad 10-naelast (ligi 12 eurot) luba hakata taotlema alates 5. märtsist.

Starting from April 2nd, the United Kingdom requires an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for entering the country. Estonian citizens can start applying for the £10 (approximately €12) authorization from March 5th.

Elektrooniline reisiluba kehtib . See kehtib, kui pass ei aegu enne seda. Loa abil saab Ühendkuningriigis .

The electronic travel authorization is valid for up to two years. It is valid if the passport does not expire before that. With the authorization, one can stay in the United Kingdom for up to six months.

Loa taotlemine võtab umbes kolm päeva. Igal inimesel, ka väikelastel, peab olema oma luba. Välisministeerium soovitab ETA-taotlust esitada varakult.

Processing the application takes about three days. Every person, including small children, must have their own authorization. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends submitting the ETA application early.

Eelmisel aastal külastas Ühendkuningriiki umbes 65 000 eestlast. See muudatus mõjutab paljusid inimesi. Eesti kodanikud peavad reisima kehtiva passiga.

Tallinna lennujaama töötajad kontrollivad ETA olemasolu alates 2. aprillist. Kui reisija pole ETA-st teadlik, saab seda vormistada lennujaamas enne lennu väljumist.

Staff at Tallinn Airport will check for the presence of ETA starting from April 2nd. If a traveler is not aware of the ETA, it can be processed at the airport before the flight departure.

Kui Ühendkuningriigis toimub ümberistumine ja pole vaja transiittsoonist lahkuda, pole ETA-d vaja. Kui ümberistumisel tuleb väljuda transiittsoonist, on luba vajalik. Lennufirma oskab selgitada, kas ümberistumisel tuleb transiittsoonist väljuda.

If a transfer takes place in the United Kingdom and there is no need to leave the transit zone, ETA is not required. If the transfer requires leaving the transit zone, the authorization is necessary. The airline can clarify whether leaving the transit zone is required during the transfer.
