Estonian soldiers are going to Greenland. They are not going there to fight.
They are going for an exercise. This exercise shows that NATO countries work together. NATO countries protect each other.
The exercise is named Arctic Endurance. This exercise demonstrates the solidarity of Northern countries. NATO countries practice cooperation and rapid response.
Greenland is important for the USA and Europe. NATO wants the North Atlantic area to be secure.
If the USA wishes to use Greenland, Denmark is ready for cooperation. This will also help other NATO countries.
Estonia will send 5-10 soldiers to Greenland. The exact number will be determined later. Prime Minister Kristen Michal said that Estonia will participate in the exercise.
