Uibo said on Wednesday in "Terevisioon" that he read the article published in Eesti Ekspress. What was written in the article was very disturbing and embarrassing for him.
"Things shouldn't work this way in Estonia. I hope the Reform Party makes quick decisions and takes responsibility. Whether it's the minister's resignation or something else, that's for them to decide. But in my opinion, if the facts are correct, then the defense minister cannot continue," said Uibo.
Uibo's opinion is important because he is a coalition representative. On Tuesday, opposition leaders Lauri Läänemets and Urmas Reinsalu said the same thing.
Eesti 200 leader Kristina Kallas did not say that Pevkur should resign. She said that official explanations are no longer sufficient.
"There is no doubt that Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur is responsible for the problems. I expect his explanations before the public on Wednesday and at the government meeting on Thursday," said Kallas.
