raha tervishoiu jaoks ei jätku
. Tervisekassa kulutab rohkem kui saab. See puudus on ligi 100 miljonit eurot.

using money that doesn't exist
Ekspert ütleb, et nüüd peame otsustama. Kas Eesti jätkab, kus kõik saavad
tasuta arstiabi

Tervishoiuteenused muutuvad kallimaks. Inimesed tahavad paremat ravi. See tähendab rohkem kulusid.
Perens ütleb, et
kokku hoidmine ei aita
. Vaja on rohkem raha. Kuid kui raha ei leita, sõltub arstiabi inimese rahast. Kui vaid mõned inimesed saavad kallist ravi, lähvad teised seda
otsima välismaalt

the state must clarify what kind of medical care it can provide
In Estonia, working people pay for the treatment of children and the elderly. But there isn't enough money for healthcare. The Health Insurance Fund spends more than it receives. This shortfall is nearly 100 million euros.
The Minister of Social Affairs said the current government will not change healthcare funding. The solution to the funding problem is postponed until 2029. Expert Kaija Kasekamp says we cannot wait. Currently, money that doesn't exist is being used. This is not a good solution.
The expert says we must now decide. Will Estonia continue with a system where everyone gets free medical care? Or will people have to pay more themselves? The experience of other countries shows that a free system is better. People are healthier, and overall, less money is spent.
Hospital director Priit Perens says hospitals can manage for a few more years. But problems will arise in the future. Healthcare services will become more expensive. People want better treatment. This means higher costs.
Perens says saving won't help. More money is needed. But if the money isn't found, medical care will depend on a person's wealth. If only a few people can afford expensive treatment, others will seek it abroad.
Family doctor Triinu-Mari Ots says the government must clarify what kind of medical care can be provided. Currently, family doctors explain this. But it takes a lot of time. The state cannot provide everything people want.
