There are many young people without a school in Tallinn and Harju County. In some places, there are more vacancies than young people. For example, in Ida-Viru County, there are 194 young people without a school and 593 vacancies.
In Estonia, there are 4,100 vacancies in upper secondary schools and vocational schools. Tallinn College of Technology has 478 vacancies. In Hiiumaa, there are only 17 vacancies.
The state wishes that more young people would attend vocational school. Vocational school provides skills for work. Many upper secondary school graduates do not continue their studies.
