President Alar Karis will make a visit to Kazakhstan in November. He will be accompanied by 40 entrepreneurs. The visit will take place from November 17 to 19.
The aim of the visit is to strengthen relations between Estonia and Kazakhstan. They will discuss economy, education, and digital technology.
President Karis wants to show that Kazakhstan is an important partner for the European Union. He also wants to strengthen international cooperation.
During the visit, President Karis will focus on economic relations, artificial intelligence, and environmental issues. He will also discuss cooperation between universities.
The president will be accompanied by members of parliament, government officials, and university leaders. A cultural program will also take place during the visit.
The visit was invited by Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. President Karis's spouse, Sirje Karis, will also meet with him.
In 2011, Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev visited Estonia. Last week, Finnish President Alexander Stubb visited Kazakhstan.
Stubb and Tokayev discussed relations and geopolitics. They also talked about Russia's war in Ukraine.
