Pärtel-Peeter Pere said that Mayor Jevgeni Ossinovski has failed to implement necessary reforms. He is more focused on his party's affairs and follows Isamaa's demands. Pere wrote on social media that the Reform Party and Eesti 200 have been too lenient.
Pere said that coalition partners are accusing the Reform Party and him personally of breaking the coalition. He said they are acting for the better life of the city's residents. Pere wants to end the dispute and do the necessary things together.
Nothing scandalous happened this week. The Reform Party made proposals for changes regarding kindergarten places. They want kindergarten places to be free for parents.
The Reform Party's press release regarding kindergarten places came on Monday morning. This was followed by a similar announcement from the Center Party. This caused a sharp reaction, especially from the Social Democrats. Ossinovski said that the Reform Party's move shows distrust towards the city government.
Pere emphasized that the Reform Party has supported the abolition of kindergarten fees since 2017. He said it helps create a better environment for families. Pere noted that coalition partners have been reasonable, but the lack of consensus is hindering progress.
Pere said that Isamaa has been successful in tarnishing his name. He mentioned that Isamaa spread falsehoods about him, such as that street lighting would go dark. Pere said that this was false and the matter was under control.
Pere said that it is easy to hate the Reform Party. He complained that people don't like cyclists. Pere wants the city government to make quick decisions on necessary matters, such as the general plan for North Tallinn and ordering new trams. He also wants to abolish kindergarten fees.
Pere concluded that the coalition agreement must be fulfilled and solutions found. He said that now is the time to get the agreed things done.
