The voters of Tallinn have cast their votes. People have different expectations and concerns. Now, political forces must work together to form a new city government. This should ensure competent and stable leadership for the next four years.
Both parties hope that the negotiations will lead to a good solution. They want to listen to different opinions and give other political forces the opportunity to present their proposals.
Estonia is currently in a political trust crisis. Overcoming it requires the joint efforts of all forces. The parties understand that they have different positions on political issues.
The coalition negotiations are based on seven principles:
1. Tallinn needs stable and professional city management. The city's development requires good leadership and a long-term plan.
2. The mayor will be Isamaa's candidate for the first two years. In the next two years, the mayor will be the Center Party's candidate.
3. The main goal in the field of education in Tallinn is a smooth transition to Estonian-language education. The city supports students, teachers, and parents.
4. The city's civil protection must be strong. Tallinn must be prepared for crisis situations.
5. Tallinn's economic development must be robust. The city must support entrepreneurship.
6. The residents of Tallinn must receive support during economically difficult times.
7. City management must be open and honest. The city must cooperate with other local governments.
Isamaa and the Center Party hope that the negotiations will yield a good result. They want the residents of Tallinn to feel that the city is progressing.
