The Rescue Board received 381 calls from Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning. Most of the calls came from Western and Northern Estonia. No one was injured due to the storm.
Most of the calls were related to storm damage, such as broken trees on roads and streets. The Rescue Board had to deal with power lines four times, which caused fires.
During the night, there were three traffic accidents where cars crashed into trees. Fortunately, no one was injured. Two accidents occurred in Western Estonia and one in Southern Estonia.
The number of power outages is decreasing rapidly. On Saturday evening, over 14,000 people were without electricity, but by Sunday morning, this number had decreased to below 8,000. Most outages were in Harju County.
Ferries between Hiiumaa and the mainland will only start operating in the afternoon. Morning trips were canceled. Tickets can be used on trips within the next 48 hours.
The wind is beginning to subside. On Sunday, the wind is already weaker, so the situation is improving.
