Estonia will receive a lot of money from the EU. The funds will come in the years 2028-2034.
Estonia will receive 6.5 billion euros from the first part. The money will go towards developing the environment, education, and social sectors.
Estonia will receive 810 million euros for internal security. This is more than the current amount.
The agriculture sector will receive 1.6 billion euros. This is less than the current amount, but the difference will be compensated.
From the second part, funds will be received through competitions. The money will go towards the construction of Rail Baltica.
Estonia will receive a total of nearly 10 billion euros. Estonia itself will pay 4.8 billion.
The third and fourth parts are not directly related to Estonia. These are for the EU's external actions and administration.
The EU budget will come from member states and EU resources. New taxes are planned.
Currently, Estonia receives 6.8 billion euros. Estonia itself pays 2.6 billion.
Discussions on the new budget will begin at the end of this year. An agreement is expected in the summer of 2027.
