RIT juht Ergo Tars ütleb, et nad otsivad uusi lahendusi.
Kui Euroopa ei kasuta USA tööriistu, siis nad kasutavad Euroopa tööriistu.

The Estonian State IT Center (RIT) currently uses Microsoft tools. They want to use other tools.
RIT director Ergo Tars says they are looking for new solutions. In the fall, they will test tools free from US influence.
If Europe does not use US tools, they will use European tools. Government employees will need to learn new tools.
During the trial, they will use LibreOffice and Linux. Windows will not be used.
Currently, there is no good replacement for Microsoft tools. Government employees use many tools on their computers.
RIT is moving workplaces to the cloud. Currently, 53 institutions and about 8,500 workplaces use RIT services.
Cloud-based workplaces do not save money. Alternative solutions are needed.
Microsoft servers are located in Europe. There are few risks.
The cost of one computer workstation is about 2000 euros. Microsoft receives 400 euros. Free software does not reduce the price.
