Helme said that Madise is like a presidential candidate because she is seeking support from the Riigikogu. But EKRE does not support her. Madise is the Chancellor of Justice and this may create problems in her work.
Helme thinks Madise is playing a game where she doesn't explicitly say she wants to become president. But at the same time, she shows interest. This is not honest, Helme believes.
Helme said that EKRE is the only party that takes presidential elections seriously. The party already chose its candidate in spring. The candidate is Mart Helme.
Kristina Kallas said Madise may have 67 supporters in the Riigikogu. But some do not support her. Madise may be missing one vote.
The Riigikogu must elect the president. The first votes will be in September. Candidates will be submitted at the end of August.
