Albatrek OÜ built a two-story building in Tõrvandi some time ago. The building is located in the Saialille residential area. The building stood out because it is larger than other houses in the area.
The building received a usage permit last year as a two-family house. According to the detailed plan, the building can also be used in other ways. For example, as a school auxiliary building or a kindergarten.
At the beginning of October, Kambja municipality started the process to clarify the detailed plan. The developer wants permission to use the building as office space.
Timo Varik, an official from Kambja municipality, said that the construction law allows this change. The developer submitted the application in September. The reason for the application is the demand for office space in this area.
Currently, the building is not in use as a two-family house. The municipal government is currently discussing whether to change the building's use. If the change is made, the building can only be used as an office. This means people can work there during the day.
Converting the building into an office does not require major changes. A parking space is also available. The municipal government is waiting for public opinions before a decision is made.
