Marko Mihkelson stated that this week is one of the most critical weeks in Ukraine's war and Russian aggression. He mentioned that there has been a lot of international diplomatic activity to help Ukraine.
Mihkelson said that the US peace plan is not actually a peace plan but an act of surrender. He added that this plan appears to have been written by Russia. However, Ukraine has not surrendered.
He noted that international pressure has helped avoid a worse situation. However, the situation is not yet good enough to be worry-free.
Mihkelson said that negotiations are not taking place between Ukraine and Russia. Rather, the pressure is being put on Ukraine, not Russia. He emphasized that Ukraine cannot sign a document that would abandon the country's sovereignty.
Mihkelson said that Russia believes it can achieve its goals. He also mentioned that the West is not united in supporting Ukraine. America has not provided new aid packages.
Finally, Mihkelson stated that Russia has not changed its main objectives. According to him, Russia aims to achieve veto power over NATO decisions, which is impossible for NATO member states to accept.
