Tallinn wants to create a green area on the Tartu Road tram track.
The project is new. The tram track is about 1 km long. Stones will be replaced with grass.
Kristjan Järvan asked if this is possible. The city said yes. It will cost 320,000 euros.
Last year, ERR wrote that the stones are bad. They are dangerous for pedestrians. It is hot there in summer.
The Tartu Road tram track is old. It has been repaired, but it deteriorates quickly.
Tartu Road is also a cycling path. The city wants to make better cycling paths.
