MTÜ Slava Ukraini requested the Tartu County Court to delete them from the business registry. They submitted the application on October 8.
Anu Viltrop, who is the liquidator of Slava Ukraini, said they received a negative response. The Commercial Code states that an association cannot be deleted if it is involved in a court case.
Viltrop said that only a judge can make such a decision. In October, the founder of MTÜ, Johanna-Maria Lehtme, was in court. Viltrop did not discuss the activities of Slava Ukraini, as she is only dealing with the liquidation.
The State Prosecutor is investigating the use of MTÜ Slava Ukraini's funds for supporting Ukraine. On October 7, there was a preliminary hearing in Harju County Court regarding Lehtme. Lehtme participated via video link. The court case will begin in September 2026.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, Lehtme has caused damage amounting to nearly 450,000 euros.
