Haapsalu linnavalitsus otsustas, et Posti tänav remonditakse linna rahaga. Ehitaja YIT Eesti AS ei tee garantii korras vajalikke parandusi. Linn nõuab raha ehitajalt tagasi.

Posti Street was completed in 2022
Haapsalu city government decided that Posti Street will be repaired using city funds. Builder YIT Eesti AS won't make necessary warranty repairs. The city is demanding money back from the builder.
YIT wrote to the city that they can't repair everything. They stated that the road deterioration is not their fault. The problem lies in poor design and water coming from other streets.
Haapsalu deputy mayor Peep Aedviiru said repairs will begin soon. First, pedestrian crossings will be fixed. Next year, expansion joints will be repaired.
Posti Street was completed in 2022. The repair cost the city 3.65 million euros. In spring, over 60 defects were found on the street. Originally repairs were to start in summer but got postponed to autumn. The builder only completed some minor work. The warranty is valid until July 2024.
