Last year, the number of both adopted and foster children decreased

2025. aastal elas Eestis asendus- ja perekodudes 725 last. 2024. aastal oli neid 714. Umbes 70% neist olid .
Hooldusperedes kasvas 149 last. 2025. aastal paigutati hooldusperre 36 last. See on vähem kui 2024. aastal, mil paigutati 47 last. Enamik neist lastest olid . Hooldusperre läks 16 tüdrukut ja 20 poissi.

SKA will conduct a study in 2026. It will help understand why people do not want to become foster or adoptive parents. The study will show how people feel about substitute care.
