Elron tõstab 1. augustist rongipiletite hindu Tallinnas ja selle lähedal. 5–10 senti võrra.
Hinnatõus puudutab reise Tallinna sees ja lähedal asuvatesse kohtadesse. .
Elron ütleb, et hinnad tõusevad, sest . Eelmisel aastal tõsteti hindu teistes piirkondades, nüüd tehakse seda ka Tallinna lähedal.
Üksikpilet Tallinna sees maksab nüüd 2,20 eurot (varem 2,10). Kahe tsooni pilet maksab 2,55 eurot (varem 2,50).
Elron ei nimetaks seda hinnatõusuks, vaid paranduseks. Eelmisel aastal jäid mõned hinnad muutmata, nüüd need korrigeeritakse.

Elron will increase train ticket prices in Tallinn and its nearby areas starting from August 1st. The price of single tickets will rise by 5–10 cents.
The price increase affects trips within Tallinn and to nearby locations. Residents of Tallinn can still travel for free.
Elron states that prices are rising because costs are increasing. Last year, prices were increased in other regions, and now the same is being done near Tallinn.
A single ticket within Tallinn now costs €2.20 (previously €2.10). A two-zone ticket costs €2.55 (previously €2.50).
Elron does not refer to this as a price increase but rather as a correction. Last year, some prices remained unchanged, and now they are being adjusted.
Elron recommends passengers use period tickets, which are cheaper. The prices of period tickets dropped by 30% at the end of May.
The current price increase is not related to the wage increase for train drivers.
Elron trains have 5 fare zones. The zone within Tallinn is the first. It covers trips from the Baltic Station to Vesse, Valdeku, and Laagri.
In April, passenger numbers started to grow again. People like the new schedule, where trains run regularly.
The number of passengers is now 140,000–160,000 per week. Popular routes include Tallinn-Tartu, Tallinn-Narva, and Tallinn-Viljandi.
